The Nigeria Air Force (NAF) is currently recruiting for the year 2024. The portal has been open since January 29th, 2024, and will be closing on March 11th, 2024.

Candidates who desire to serve in the Nigerian Air Force, either male or female, can now apply to pursue their dreams.

The recruitment is for direct short service (DSS). Interested and eligible applicants can now apply through their official site.

This exercise is for Degree or HND holders who desire joint the Nigeria Air Force in various disciplines.

The training is usually 6 months unlike regular combat which involve 5 years of training. 4 years of academic and military training, and 1 year of military training.

Application Guideline

  • This recruitment is for graduates and post-graduates to be recruited as direct short-service cadets in different fields, which I will mention later.
  • Eligible persons can visit their official site at http://nafrecruitment.airforce.mil.ng and apply free of charge. Carefully read and understand the requirements
  • Each applicant should apply only once, as multiple applications will result in the cancellation of your application.
  • Applicants should print out the following documents after the online registration:
  • The local government area attestation form is to be signed by a military or police officer who is from the same state as you. The signee should not be less than the Wing Commander or his equivalent in the Nigerian Army, Nigerian Navy, or assistant commander of police.
  • Other people that can sign include the local government chairman or secretary, magistrate, and principal of the secondary school you attended.
  • Parent / Guardian Consent Form
  • Attestation of Good Character form
  • Acknowledgment form

Eligibility

  • Applicants must be Nigerian citizen by origin or birth
  • The height should not be less than 1.66m for men and 1.63 m for women
  • Applicants should be fit medically, physically and psychologically
  • Applicants should not have a criminal record
  • Applicants should be between the age of 20 and 30 (Applicants before December 15, 1994, are not eligible).
  • For medical consultants, applicants should be between the ages of 25 and 40 (Applicants both before December 15, 1994, are not eligible).
  • This recruitment is not for serving military men.

Qualification

  • The applicant must be a graduate with second-class credit for those with a first degree and lower credit for HND holders.
  • Applicants must have English and Mathematics in O’ level results and three other subjects in their field of study.
  • Applicants must have an NYSC discharge certificate or letter of exemption from NYSC.
  • Applicants’ signee must include their national ID card, driver’s license,, or international passport.
